PCSO McRobbie reported that there had been 7 reported crimes in the Parish in July compared to 10 for the same period in 2009.Four crimes related to one incident of drunken behaviour which had been dealt with. The multi-agency surgery held every Wednesday morning in ClayTAWC is working well with over 20 parishioners regularly attending.
There is a vacancy on the Parish Council which will be filled by co-option and a notice will be placed on the notice boards in August.Any person wishing to join the Parish Council should write to the Parish Clerk at The ClayTAWC Centre. It is expected that the vacancy will be filled at the Parish Council meeting on the 14th September.
The Council approved a grant of £200 to the St Dennis Band to assist in purchasing new chairs for the Band Room. Other village organisations are reminded that the Council has a budget to assist local organisations and application for assistance should be made to the Parish Clerk.
Cornwall Council is consulting on proposals to alter speed limits around the village to which the Parish Council will be responding. A copy of Cornwall Council’s proposals can be viewed at the Parish Council office in the ClayTAWC Centre.
