PARISH COUNCIL NEWS.
The Parish Council meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the ClayTAWC Centre.All meetings start at 7 p.m. and the public are very welcome to attend.There is a regular agenda item of 10 minutes duration when members of the public may speak and raise their particular concerns.
Notes from the Parish
Council Meeting held on the 13th April.
a) PC Humphries reported that there had been only 2 reported crimes in March compared to 8 for the same period in 2009.
b) The Council received a report from its representatives at the Public Inquiry into the ‘Incinerator’ and acknowledged that Councillors Greenslade, Mrs Edwards and Mrs Salmon had performed very well when giving evidence. There has been a good attendance by St Dennis parishioners at the Inquiry and the Council recorded a vote of thanks to all the local people who had given evidence and to all those who had attended to support them.
c) The Council received a report from the Skateboard Working Party ,which stated that that representatives of young people in the village would be organising a meeting for young people to ascertain their views on what sort of facility they would like to see. The results of this meeting will be reported back to the Working Party for consideration.
d) The Council received the accounts for 2009/10, subject to audit, which showed a healthy financial position with a general working balance of £12,404 and earmarked reserves of £29,000.Parishioners are reminded that the accounts and related documents can be inspected at the ClayTAWC Centre.
