PARISH COUNCIL NEWS.
The Parish Council meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the ClayTAWC Centre. All meetings start at 7 p.m. and the public are very welcome to attend. There is a regular agenda item of 10 minutes duration when members of the public may speak and raise their particular concerns.
Notes from the Parish Council Meeting held on the 13th July.
PCSO McRobbie reported that there had been 4 reported crimes in the Parish in June. Speed checks had been carried out during June and there were very few cases of speeding recorded in St Dennis. There are ongoing issues with anti social behaviour in the village but these were not always the fault of the children.
Regrettably one of the cradle swings in the Playing Field has been broken and this will be replaced in the next few weeks.Matting will also be installed at the gates to the Play Area to prevent the access becoming too muddy.
The Council has received a number of complaints about the state of the land behind Dunstan Close. The land is not in the ownership of the Parish Council and Highgrove Homes (South West) who were maintaining the land have gone into administration. The Council has recently discovered that the land is in the ownership of Highgrove Homes Ltd who are still trading and who have agreed to maintain it.
The Council do receive complaints about the state of the hard footpath between Manson Place and Trelavour Road and it has now been clearly established that this path is the responsibility of Ocean Housing who will be maintaining the path in future.
Parishioners are reminded that at this time of the year it is difficult for the Council’s part time employee to keep all of the 26 footpaths in the Parish trimmed. It is useful for the public to report overgrown paths and they will be cut as soon as possible.
Sadly the Council received the resignation of Mrs Ginny Edwards who has had to resign for personal reasons.A notice advertising the vacancy will be placed on the notice boards outside the Post Office and in the ClayTAWC Centre in due course.
