PARISH COUNCIL
NEWS.
The Parish Council meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the ClayTAWC Centre.All meetings start at 7 p.m. and the public are very welcome to attend.There is a regular agenda item of 10 minutes duration when members of the public may speak and raise their particular concerns.
Notes from
the Annual Parish Council Meeting held on the 11th
May.
a) Councillor Fred Greenslade was unanimously elected Chairman of the Council for the year 2010/11 and Councillor Julia Clarke was unanimously elected Vice Chair of the Council.
b) PC Humphries reported that there had been 5 reported crimes in the Parish in April compared to 13 for the same period in 2009.There had been 36 calls to the Police in April compared to 51 for the same period in 2009.
c) A new litter bin has been installed in the Playing Field at a cost of £360 replacing the one that had been destroyed by vandals.Work has also started to replace one piece of worn out equipment in the Children’s Play Area together with new safety surfacing.This improvement has largely been financed by a grant from The Cornwall County Association of Playing Fields.
d) The Council received and approved the independent audit report on the accounts for 2009/10 which showed that there were no areas of finance requiring improvement.
e) Council received and approved two reports from its Planning Committee and elected Chairpersons and members of the various Committees of the Council for 2010/11.
f) Council received a report from Councillor Mrs Salmon on the tour of the footpaths in the area by the Public Inquiry Planning Inspector and expressed its thanks to Councillors Mrs Salmon and Rickard for representing the Parish Council.
