PARISH COUNCIL NEWS.

The Parish Council meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the ClayTAWC Centre.All meetings start at 7 p.m. and the public are very welcome to attend. There is a regular agenda item of 10 minutes duration when members of the public may speak and raise their particular concerns.

Notes from the Parish Council meeting held on the 11th November.

  1. The vacancy on the Parish Council was filled by co-option when Ginny Edwards was elected.

  2. PCSO Fisher reported that there had been 4 reported crimes in October of which 1 had been detected. Also in attendance was PC Steve Humphries the new Neighbourhood Beat Officer for St Dennis. PC Humphries explained that his appointment was for 6 months initially and that he will be based in the ClayTAWC Centre.

  3. The Parish Council has agreed to write to the Environment Agency requesting a technical representative to make a presentation to a public meeting on the Sita Uk Ltd application for an Environmental Permit for the incinerator.

  4. Councillor Greenslade has been investigating the reason for the destruction of many trees along the site of the proposed haul road to the incinerator prior to planning permission being granted.

  5. The date for an additional meeting of the Parish Council to consider the budget and precept for 2009/10 has been fixed as Wednesday the 3rd December in the ClayTAWC Centre at 7 p.m.

  6. Donations of £250 to STIG and £80 to the Royal British Legion Remembrance Day Appeal were approved.

  7. The Council noted that Restormel Borough Council has agreed to provide 2 additional dog bins ,1 to be sited in the Playing Field and 1 in Gullys Lane,and an additional litter bin to be sited near the ClayTAWC Centre.The Borough Council has also agreed to empty the bins.
